Monday Reads is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey, and I don't normally play along because I well, suck at remembering to do weekly memes. But hey, here I am! This is what I think my reading will look like this week:
- The Fry Chronicles: An Autobiography by Stephen Fry. It's a digital loan from the library and I only have a few days left on it and I doubt I'll be able to finish it before then. I'm hoping I'll be able to nab it again as soon as I check it back in. If not I'll put in a request. As Fry says himself (and I'm paraphrasing a bit) he sees no point in using one word when ten will do. It's a bit of a slow read but an entertaining slow read.
- In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson. I didn't manage to nab a copy of this at BEA so I grabbed it off the express shelf at the library this week. Coincidentally I had just been talking to a friend of mine last weekend about Larson. He's a fan. We share a geeky love of this era in history.
I need a fiction infusion in there somewhere but I haven't completely decided what it will be yet.
What are you reading this week?
