Happy Dewey's Read-a-thon Day!

As usual I'm staring a bit late but oh well, such is life. I'm starting far less late than I usually do.

The introduction:
1)Where are you reading from today?
- Our living room, the kitchen and probably the car (gotta run errands).
2)Three random facts about me.
- I'm the BlogHer Book Club host, we have half of a full shelf dedicated to cheese in our fridge, I just registered for BEA/BBC -- five a shout if you are going!
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?
- About 12 but that's not really accurate because I haven't trolled my bookshelves yet. And instant download e-book are always tempting...
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?
- I'd like to finish three books but I have errands to run and a house guest tonight.
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time?
- Yeah, don't plan to have a house guest your first night.

Ok. Officially Sassymonkey Start Time is 9:00am ET. The first book is Blood, Bones and Butter. Ready, set, READ!

Check-in 10:48 ET:
Reading: Blood, Bones and Butter
Pages read: 112
Taking a break only because I wanted to check Prune's hours and menu and the site is built on Flash so I can't view on my iPhone (hate that!). Am now hungry and trying to plot a way to sneak away to Prune in NYC next month, even if it is only to sit at the bar and eat off their bar menu. I think I need to go root around in the kitchen and find something to eat.

3:30ET:
Finished Blood, Bones and Butter. As usual for that kind of book it made me want to cook. Also accomplished while reading this book: the creation of many more freckles and a slight sunburn on one arm. C'est la vie. Not sure what I'm going to read next or when I'll get to it because I need to start thinking about marinating the steaks for dinner and making salsa.
