Rapid Reviews v.2

It took me a bit longer to get around to doing version two than I anticipated but hey, the day has come. And we won't talk about how long ago it was that I read these books.

  • The Wedding Girl by Madelaine Wickham - Madelaine Wickham is Sophie Kinsella. (Or is it Sophie Kinsella is Madelaine Wickham? I can never remember.) I picked it up off the express shelf last month when I was looking for a good quick read for a Saturday afternoon. It was perfect for that and I have to say, the characters were not as over-the-top as I was expecting. It was a fun book.

  • Instant Temptation by Jill Shalvis - The last book in the Wilder brothers series. I liked it better than the second one. I think the final books in these kinds of series are fun because you have that build up to them. Good end to the series.

  • The Art of Eating In: How I Learned to Stop Spending and Love the Stove by Cathy Erway - I kind of wish I had written about this closer to when I read it (in September!) but the short of it is this - I've never understood people who eat out all the time but that's because I'm cheap and like to cook (most days at least). I'm always astonished by people who got from not cooking much to cooking very adventurous meals. But as much as I like to cook I don't think I want to go two years without eating in a restaurant.
