I'm bloody sick of fake memoirs

I think I'm about to give up on memoirs except those written by foodies and book-lovers. Why? Because I think they are less likely to stupidly embellish stories (I do expect small embellishments as no one's memory is perfect). Why? Because it's about the food and books dammit!

Is Bringing Down the House a Fraud?

Gotta love this quote:
Mezrich defends himself vigorously, saying “The idea that the story is true is more important than being able to prove that it’s true.”

Doesn't that just explain so much about the publishing of memoirs and their lying authors?
