Product Placement in Books

I've never read a Gossip Girls book but I know they drop designer names like they are going out of style. But I didn't realize that a book I nabbed from the bargain table was the source of a product placement cafuffle.

I bought Cathy's Book sometime this fall because it just looked really neat. A nice hardbound book that looks a bit like a journal and when opened contains both the book and a sleeve with documents in it. Intriguing. Especially when it came with at $3.99 price tag.

I haven't read it yet. But I think I might have to bump it up the TBR list.
