So close to a crisis

I'm about to tell you something that may shock you.

Over the weekend I only had TWO books checked out of the library. TWO! And if the thought of not having any library books on the go hadn't terrified me so much I could have finished those and not only had no library books to read but none waiting on the shelf for me to pick up! Can you imagine?!?!?!?!

So I didn't finish both of them. I purposely only read only 1/4 of the last one that I had.

And then I went to the library today and picked up 5 books that had come in over the past two days.

And now I'm alternating between blogging, cleaning and sitting on the couch reading. A book I own. Not a library book of course. Why would I do that?

Edited for Andi:

The library book I didn't finish on the weekend but could have: I feel bad about my neck by Nora Ephron.

What I picked up from the library today:

Forbidden Fruit: love stories from the Underground Railroad by Betty DeRamus
Nobody's Mother: life without kids a collection of essays by various authors
Poison Study by Maria Snyder
That Summer by Sarah Dessen
Vegetarian Meals: Good Housekeeping favourite recipes (now that I've banned chicken I'll probably make more meatless meals although I'm not going vegetarian)

What am I actually reading? An Assembly Such as This by Pamela Aidan
