Hey Toronto People...

Margaret Atwood is doing a reading from Moral Disorder and book signing at Indigo on Bay and Bloor Friday, September 15 at 7pm. Show up early if you want a seat. But don't steal mine. Crowds make me cranky. ;)

If you are a Dr. Marla fan she's doing a q&a with Heather Reisman on Wednesday Sept 20, also at the Bay and Bloor location at 7pm. She'll be signing copies of her book A Life in Balance. For the Americans, Dr. Marla is kinda like Mary Poppins (practically perfect in every way) if Mary Poppins had been a doctor and recently battled breast cancer. It can be kinda irritating but I think she means well so I forgive her for it.

I'm not done yet. Same location Friday September 29th will have Nigella Lawson in person to sign copies of her book Feast.

Terry Brooks will be signing books at The Worlds Biggest Bookstore but ummm they forgot to put a date and time for that one but I think it's on the afternoon of the 30th.

Sheesh...this is all before the IFOA next month. I love this city. :)

Nicholas Hoare hasn't updated their events page since June and it's starting to make me really cranky. TINARS will be updated September 11.

EDIT: Kate S. has brought another event to my attention. From her comment below:

So long as you’re doing a round up of September literary events, don’t forget the first event of the season in the Fictitious Reading Series on Sunday, September 24th at 7:30 pm at This Ain’t the Rosedale Library. Marnie Woodrow and John Lavery will be reading, and I’ll be conducting an onstage interview with them afterwards. You can find all the details at:
