The right book

Sometimes all it takes to get back on the wagon is the right book. And I found one - The Madonnas of Leningrad. I blogged about it over at BlogHer. Clicky here to read about it.

*Elusive Canadian Book Warning* If I knew how to make that flash I would (and if I did know how I have a feeling wouldn't let me...). I'm also half way through Wild Orchid. I'm not sure what's up with the September 30th date for it on seeing as I have a copy right beside me. I've been noticing lately that Amazon is a bit behind on some of their Canadian dates.

Ohhh that reminds me, someone from Cormorant Books emailed me some additional information about Home Schooling which is on the Giller long list.

Umm which reminds me that other people have emailed me about other things too.

My apologies everyone. Last week was a doozy and a half. I had family issues and then the shooting spree in Montreal totally threw me (I lived there for many years). I've been a bit stressed. Things are going much better this week...well except that work is making me blind and the books in my document suite hate me and are making it difficult to publish. I would *love* to tell you all that I'll get caught up with things this weekend but I'm getting my wisdom teeth pried out on Thursday so I have a feeling that's not going to happen. I have a feeling most of the weekend will be spent on the couch with Popsicles, tea, pudding and movies. And as soon as I get back to work on Monday I'll be in full publishing mode. It generally involves long hours, lots of swearing and telling my computer that if it doesn't start doing the things I want it to I'll throw it out a window. I wonder if I'll still be on painkillers then... ;)
