The One Meme

I'm not good at "ones". You've been warned.

I was tagged by Iliana.

1. One book that changed your life.
You know...this is why I've avoided this meme so far. I can't think of ONE book that changed my life. I'd like to be able to say the first book I ever read on my own but I honestly don't even know what that book was. There are so many books out there and we take a piece of them with us after we close their covers. They are all part of my experience...even the Moonstone. ;)

2. One book that you've read more than once.
Pride and Prejudice. I've read it about once a year for the last ummm 15 years???

3. One book you'd want on a desert island.
A desert island survival guide. I'm nothing if not pragmatic.

4. One book that made you laugh.
How I Paid for College by Marc Acito. It's just darned funny. Bonus: anything by Christopher Moore. I'm not allowed to read his books in public. People will think I'm a crazy person.

5. One book that made you cry.
Nuts...there was a book that made me cry recently and I don't remember what it was. I know that Little Women made me cry when I read it years ago. Lots of books make me cry. I'm a sap.

6. One book that you wish had been written.
Harry Potter. Not for the fact that JKR got filthy rich off it but because I'd soooo love to be the person that got millions of kids reading the same book. And the whole thing where people got so freaked out over it that they had book burnings??? That's just too cool.

7. One book that you wish had never been written.
Hmmm...I can't think of any. I'm sure there's some hate literature out there that I'd prefer wasn't.
8. One book you're currently reading.
A Century of Excellence by Marian Bruce. It's a history of the the Prince of Wales college in Prince Edward Island.

9. One book you've been meaning to read.
Lord of the Flies. I've owned it for years but just haven't read it yet.

10. Now tag five people.
I think pretty much everyone had done this by now. Have you done it Denise? Katie?
