Keeping my hands busy

There are many advantages to working from home. You can really get away with not wearing shoes. Or underwear. Or heck, not wearing clothes period (something i don't actually do - too much cat hair).

Sometimes at work we have to sit in on sessions where we really aren't required to do anything other than sit in front of the computer and listen. No note taking, just listening. Today was one of those days. I had a 2 hour session. I'm sure many of you know, just sitting and listening for that long gets boring. You get restless.

Do today I picked up my knitting needles and I knit and listened for 2 hours, clicking on check marks and x's when required. But for the most part I sat and listened and knit. I highly doubt that hauling out knitting in the office would go over all that well. But hey, my house, my office, my rules. And I really do find that having something in my hands makes me feel far less restless during these sessions. Which means I pay better attention. Which means I get more out of them. Plus I'm that much closer to being finished with this never ending project. So it's win-win all the way around. ;)

Now that you've all listened to me ramble, go here and say congrats to Kyle. I wonder if he's stopped bouncing off the walls yet...
