Yum and ugh

I made a yummy dinner. Yes people, I eat early.  I don't commute and this gives me time to squeeze a snack in during the evening (usually fruit or popcorn). At least it was mostly yummy. My tummy is not happy at the moment.

What was on the menu you may ask?  Oven potato fries, tomato salad with feta and a lamb burger. The burger is what is killing me at the moment. But I'll get to that.

The oven fries were easy. I just washed two small taters, sliced into 1/4" strips, coated with a mixture of olive oil, oregano, onion powder and chili powder. Put them in a pie plate and threw into the oven for 30 minutes at 450F. I flipped them half way through.  When they were done I sprinkled them with a teaspoon of finely grated romano cheese.  Yummy perfection. Well maybe not perfection. I think it would have been better with a bit of garlic.

The burger was good but honestly, I didn't realize lamb burgers were so fatty.  I served it on a kaiser bun topped with maple mustard, red lettuce, caramelized onions and feta cheese.  Tasty but the grease is killing me. My stomach does not like grease and it's not happy right now.  sigh
