Knitting

I haven't knit in a long time. But the last couple of days I've felt the need to pick up my needles. I'm still working on that mother of a wrap that I've been working on for a year now. It's very, very loosely based on a wrap from Vogue Knitting magazine. But mostly it's just like knitting a really, really, really wide scarf. ;-) I've taken breaks now and then to knit other things. Like the half-handers that I made last winter for Kit-Cat and me (made mine first, she liked them, voila a Christmas gift). It's nice to be knitting again but I have a long way to go before this is done. It should be 6-7 feet in length when it's done. I'm currently about 3.5 feet in. I have knitted 4 skeins and have 3 left. It takes me 7-9 minutes to knit a single row (I knit a bit faster than I purl). So it's gonna take me a loooooooong time to finish this. I was hoping to be able to wear it this autumn but I don't know that it will happen. Especially since my hands cramp up. Knitting is good though - it makes sitting on my butt staring at the tv ever so slightly more excusable.

I think a weekend of renting an entire season of a tv show is in order. I wonder if Blockbuster has the West Wing season 4 for rental? Or I suppose I could go through the first three seasons again. ;-)

Speaking of dvds...I'm seriously considering buying Cinderella on DVD. It's not my absolute favourite Disney cartoon but it's definitely top 5. I'm such a sucker for fairy tales. sigh.
