I know I bitch about my apartment a lot. I don't exactly love my roommates. I hate how far it is away from pretty much everything. But I have to say this place does have one perk (other than being cheap...). There is a library right across the street. I LOVE libraries. I LOVE books. Books are just oodles and oodles of endless possibilities. Sure, a lot of them are crap. But a lot of them aren't. Books can take you anywhere in the world you want to go. They can teach you things. Books are wonderful. And even if my piddly little library doesn't have the book I want it is part of a network of something like 98 libraries which means they can get it for me. True, I may be number 371 in the wait for a book - but 10 days ago I was number 401 (anyone wanna lay down a bet for the date it actually come available to me???). It'll get to me eventually. Do you have any idea how much money I can save buy simply going to the library? As some of you know I'm a cookbook addict. I collect them. I love them. I love to cook (errr most of the time...when I'm not having little pesky problems like time constraints and fires, etc). I have damn near every cookbook at my fingertips because of the library. :)

Libraries rock.
