Notable Books

The New York Times has released their list of the 100 notable books of 2005 (you need to register to read it - sorry). I've actually read two of them, started to read another one, and have two on my request list at the library (waiting, waiting, waiting for them to come in along with ummm 17 others...). I'm rather surprised. I usually don't do well with this type of list.

Books I read:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - JK Rowling (I almost feel like this one shouldn't count...).
Freakonomics: A Rogue Economics Explores the Hidden Side of Everything – Steven D Levitt and Stephen J Dubner

Book I started to read but couldn't get into:
Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld

Books on my request list:
Memories of my Melancholy Whores – Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife – Mary Roach
